$corpio Salon was an art salon and fundraiser event held in November 2018 to raise money for asylum seekers at the border. Myself and Itzel Martinez of Colectiva Cósmica hosted the event. Artists Mathew Galindo, Roy Martinez, Florencia Escudero, Julia Arredondo, Edward Salas, Reina del Castles, and Carmen Pizarro donated art pieces to auction; Saydee Villarruel provided the brisket tacos while STEFA* and Mowri shared an intimate living room set and DJ Cisnegros and Prince of Queens DJed the party. It was spectacular.
